The Yellow-Rumped Warbler is another bird that hangs around in this area all year long. But in the winter, this common little Warbler dresses down to a dull, washed out grey, and the yellow markings wash out as well. But right now, though the brush and reeds along the roadside are still bare and brown, that little yellow spot looks as bright as the morning sun. Yes, spring is on the way!

We thought spring was on the way when we had a couple of 60 degree days over the weekend – but it’s back to snow and below freezing temps today!
