  1. I love the Green Heron

    • Thanks, John. That’s one of my favorites, too, especially since it was one of the first ‘birding’ photos I took. Yesterday, I was at Chincoteague NWR and got some cool shots of a Little Blue Heron. I’ll be posting them sometime this week. I appreciate you taking the time to comment!

  2. Ooo! Lots of great shots!

    • Thanks so much, Susan. I’m having such a grand time learning about birds and learning about photography all at the same time!! I appreciate you taking the time to visit and comment! Come again!

  3. great captures! 🙂

  4. What a wonderful collection ! You’re well on your way as a birding photographer.

  5. These are really great photos. As a birder, I know how twitchy some of these friends can be. It is challenging to even get a view of a marsh wren, a photo is nearly impossible.

    • Thanks so much for the encouragement. I’ve always thought of myself as a patient person. Learning how to photograph birds has taught me, if nothing else, how much patience I have yet to learn!! Grin.

  6. Beautiful birds, beautiful photos!

  7. thanks for the visit to LightWriters! (5wise.wordpress.com). Fantastic feathered friend collection…love the great blue heron…we get them in Southern Canada near the mid-west US border, where they nest in ditches in rural areas. 🙂

    • So glad to enjoy your ‘company’ here in the world of nature blogs. I really enjoyed the way you are combining both your photography and your own unique words. I’m looking forward to sharing. I’m certainly enjoying my ‘feathered friends’. What started as a way to get outdoors walking and enjoying some alone time, has turned into a passion (obsession?)!!

  8. How on EARTH do you pick a favorite? I love all of them!! Great page.

    • Well, thanks, lady! How are you doin’?

      • Fantastic! The birds were very gracious on the Rocky Mountains. We are now at 219. Unbelievable. I added a link to the photos on my SmugMug page, but it may be a bit before I get the time to blog about it.

I love birding. Have I said that yet? 😀

      • 219?!!! Awesome! I thought I was doing pretty well with 185! Birding is indeed a great obsession… er, passion!!

  9. So glad I came across your blog! Wonderful images~

    • Thanks so much for taking the time to visit and comment. I look forward to checking out your blog. It’s always good to connect with another birder-nature lover. I look forward to ‘talking’ with you in the future!
