In an earlier post, I asked for input for how to tell the difference between a Song Sparrow and a Savannah Sparrow. From that post and the generous input from quietsolopursuits and Bluebird Annie, I learned that Savannah Sparrows have pink bills, a yellow ‘eyebrow’ and their streaks on the breast are finer than a Song Sparrow’s. So whadya think? Did I finally get a Savannah?

Oh lovely, he looks very like our Song Thrush which is mostly brown but has a cream speckled breast.

I will definitely have to look up the Song Thrush and learn about them! I do believe I also saw a Hermit Thrush on the same trip – which I will post about today or tomorrow!
